Within the past several years many doctors have been pushing the Gardasil vaccine as a preventative measure against cervical cancer, which is thought to be caused by HPV. But there have been many cases of adverse reaction to the vaccine. A teenager in Colorado reported that she now has extreme exhaustion, nausea and blacking out after receiving the Gardasil vaccine in conjunction with a meningitis vaccine. The combination was never tested for safety issues by the FDA. Gardasil was approved by the FDA in 2006 and Merck, the manufacturer, has mounted a huge marketing campaign to promote the vaccine.

What is HPV?

HPV is estimated to be the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. Most sexually active men and women will probably acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives. The American Social Health Association reported estimates that about 75-80% of sexually active Americans will be infected with HPV at some point in their lifetime. By the age of 50 more than 80% of American women will have contracted at least one strain of genital HPV.

It was estimated that in the year 2000, there were approximately 6.2 million new HPV infections among Americans aged 15-44; of these, an estimated 74% occurred to people between ages 15-24. Of the STDs studied, genital HPV was the most commonly acquired.

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_papillomavirus

What is Gardasil and is it safe?

Gardasil is a vaccine to prevent HPV infections. It is manufactured by Merck & Co. which is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide. The FDA granted approval in 2006 and till present day they claim that there is no evidence to support the claims that Gardasil caused any of the adverse reactions that were reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. What do you think?

What you have to ask yourself is, do the benefits outweigh the risks and how can you prevent infection from HPV other than a vaccine?

Get knowledge and be informed.

Press Release:

Minneapolis – Mercury was found in nearly 50 percent of tested samples of commercial high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), according to a new article published today in the scientific journal, Environmental Health. A separate study by the Institute for Agricul- ture and Trade Policy (IATP) detected mercury in nearly one-third of 55 popular brand- name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first or second highest labeled ingredient-including products by Quaker, Hershey’s, Kraft and Smucker’s.

HFCS use has skyrocketed in recent decades as the sweetener has replaced sugar in many processed foods. HFCS is found in sweetened beverages, breads, cereals, break- fast bars, lunch meats, yogurts, soups and condiments. On average, Americans consume about 12 teaspoons per day of HFCS. Consumption by teenagers and other high consumers can be up to 80 percent above average levels.

“Mercury is toxic in all its forms,” said IATP’s David Wallinga, M.D., and a co-author in both studies. “Given how much high fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could be a significant additional source of mercury never before considered. We are calling for immediate changes by industry and the FDA to help stop this avoidable mercury contamination of the food supply.”

In the Environmental Health article, Dufault et al. found detectable levels of mercury in nine of 20 samples of commercial HFCS. Dufault was working at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration when the tests were done in 2005. She and co-authors conclude that possible mercury contamination of food chemicals like HFCS was not common knowledge within the food industry that frequently uses the sweetener. While the FDA had evidence that commercial HFCS was contaminated with mercury four years ago, the agency did not inform consumers, help change industry practice or conduct addi- tional testing.

For its report “Not So Sweet: Missing Mercury and High Fructose Corn Syrup,” IATP sent 55 brand-name foods and beverages containing HFCS as the first or second ingredient to a commercial laboratory to be tested for total mercury. Nearly one in three products tested contained detectable mercury. Mercury was most prevalent in HFCS containing dairy products, followed by dressings and condiments. Attached is the summary list of the 55 products and their total mercury content. (Click here to download)

In making HFCS, caustic soda is used, among other things, to separate corn starch from the corn kernel. For decades, HFCS has been made using mercury-grade caustic soda produced in industrial chlorine (chlor-alkali) plants. The use of mercury cells to produce caustic soda can contaminate caustic soda, and ultimately HFCS, with mercury. (This is just ridiculous!)

“The bad news is that nobody knows whether or not their soda or snack food contains HFCS made from ingredients like caustic soda contaminated with mercury,” said Dr. Wallinga. “The good news is that mercury-free HFCS ingredients exist. Food companies just need a good push to only use those ingredients.” (my recommendation would be to avoid all HFCS containing products)

While most chlorine plants around the world have switched to newer, cleaner technologies, many still rely on the use of mercury cells. In 2005, 90 percent of chlorine production was mercury-free, but just 40 percent of European production was mercury-free. Four U.S. chlor-alkali plants still rely on mercury cell technology. In 2007, then-Senator Barack Obama introduced legislation to force the remaining chlor-alkali plants to phase out mercury cell technology by 2012.

Yes ladies and gentleman our society is actually losing the proper cognitive abilities to function at optimum levels (you can search through the presidential archives of some – if not all – of his speeches for more evidence). There’s a plausible reason for this. This video shows just one of the reasons.

So here’s what she did:
She took a total of 108 rats (experimental group of 30 males, 30 females – control group 24 males, 24 females)
The experimental group was given 2 packets of NutraSweet per 8 ounces of water for a duration of 2 years 8 months

Here’s what happened:

You can read more about her experiment at the link below. It’s fascinating that the FDA even approved Aspartame!

Artificial sweeteners are commonly found in “diet” products often listed as aspartame. With all the controversy over “carbs” being the culprit for getting fat, many Americans have turned to “alternatives” to sugar with the mindset that this will solve their problems. Could we be more wrong here? There are millions of Americans who love to drink coffee and include sugar to sweeten up their beverage. But most opt to put in “sweet-n-low” or “equal”, you know…the pink and blue packs. With the surge of Starbucks and other coffee houses popping up all over the country, we’ve seen a huge increase in coffee drinkers and in turn a huge increase in the consumption of artificial sweeteners.

Next on the list are those “diet” drinks like diet Coke or “Zero” who all taut to be “sugar-free.” But let’s face the facts…if you take something out and you still want it to remain relatively the same in taste, you need to substitute it with something else. These substitutes are concocted in the laboratory and then they use the general population as lab rats to see what the effects will be on the human body. Ladies and gentlemen, I must tell you that you’re part of a massive scale laboratory study.
